About me
Hi, I’m Ella. I’m a Chicago based therapist, and I’m here to help you feel more connected to your child—and to yourself.
Parenting can feel like juggling love, responsibility, exhaustion, and self-doubt all at once.
You’re trying so hard, and yet sometimes it feels like you’re running on empty. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can untangle what’s been weighing on you, break patterns that don’t serve you, and feel more calm and confident in your parenting.
You deserve support—and I’m here to walk with you through this.
Why I Work With Parents
I’ve seen, again and again, that when parents feel supported, their children thrive. My work is rooted in helping you strengthen your connection with your child while also finding some breathing room in your own life.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—sometimes the best time to reach out is when you feel “okay” but want more than okay. Whether you’re navigating power struggles, breaking cycles from your own upbringing, or simply longing to remember who you were before you became “mom” or “dad”, we’ll work together to create the kind of life you want.
My Background & Training
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with advanced training in relational, psychodynamic therapy, an approach that values understanding our relationship with ourselves and others, and identifying patterns within them.
I began my career as a child therapist and received training in child-led play therapy from Juvenile Protective Association. In my work with children and their families, I saw firsthand the profound impact that parental mental health had on their children’s well being—and how much parents benefit from having dedicated support to connect more deeply with their children.
Since then, I’ve emphasized supporting parents in raising happy, well-loved, and resilient children.
My Approach in the Room
Warm, candid, and collaborative—you won’t get judgment or a “one-size-fits-all” script.
A mix of practical strategies (parent coaching) and deeper emotional work (therapy) to help you sustain changes.
Respect for your values, culture, and unique family dynamics.
Alongside my therapy work, I provide optional parent coaching and home visit observations. Sometimes the hardest moments happen in the flow of everyday life—bedtime struggles, mealtime battles, school pick-ups.
In a home visit, I can be there with you during these challenging times, offering observations and coaching that help you respond with calm, confidence, and connection. My goal is to give you practical support in real-world settings where parenting feels toughest.
If You’re Ready, Let’s Begin
Reaching out is often the hardest part. You don’t have to have the “perfect” words or know exactly what you need—we’ll figure it out together.
I meet parents wherever works best: in my Chicago Loop office, through home visits in surrounding neighborhoods, or online.
